How It All Began...

My name is Daniel Linares. I’ve been in the events world for over a decade—as a performer, creative director, and founder of a luxury wedding and corporate entertainment company.

In the early years, I was filled with passion for performance and making people feel something. But it didn’t take long to realize something darker brewing beneath the surface of the event industry.

I’d show up to venues and see florists cutting corners, DJs ghosting planners, and companies promising the world—then vanishing the moment the final check cleared. I even heard planners advise clients to “just keep the deposit low in case the vendor flakes.”

It shook me.

How could an industry built around life’s most meaningful moments become so careless with trust?

I realized many clients didn’t expect excellence. They hoped for it. Because they’d been burned before—by no-show vendors, overhyped websites, surprise fees, and teams that looked great online but crumbled under pressure.

The worst part? Even the good ones—those who cared—were being lumped in with the rest. Guilty by association.

I was one of them.

And I didn’t want to just “do better.” I wanted to raise the standard.

I committed to building a client experience where creativity met accountability. I poured everything I had into elevating the team around me—training, systemizing, obsessing over every interaction from the first call to the final encore.

But I knew I couldn’t fix an industry alone.

So I started asking a few other top-tier event professionals the same question:

“What if we stopped competing in silence—and started leading together?”

And that’s when EPIC was born.

The Event Pioneers Impact Coalition is a growing community of elite planners, designers, DJs, florists, musicians, rental houses, and creative vendors united by a common mission:

To protect what matters most—
